Hon. Ola Western... towards responsible representation

He lives here. He works here. Engr. Folorunsho Olaitan Segun — your neighbour in FESTAC Town — is running for the Lagos House of Assembly on a record already delivered: boreholes, drained avenues, rebuilt roads, fed households. Always here, always accessible.

Why FESTAC chose him

Three things this constituency can attest to

Always here, always accessible

His home, his company (Western Concrete) and his campaign office at 32 Road all stand inside FESTAC Town. The door residents knock on for a blocked drain or a hospital bill is the same door that opens onto the Assembly.

Delivering before office

Six-ward borehole drive and the 7th Avenue drainage desilting (2018). State approval for six FESTAC roads — 1st Avenue rebuilt (2023). 1,000+ households fed at the Food Fest (2024) — each entry linked to its press report.

Representing our shared reality

A civil engineer who rides the same potholed roads, breathes the same flood season and pays the same generator bill as every voter in Festac I–III and Mile 2 — then went to the Governor with the engineering assessments to fix them.

Key Pillars

What responsible representation delivers

Infrastructure Advocacy

FHA–municipal alignment for FESTAC road maintenance, rehabilitation of 23 Road, avenue street lighting, and canal and drainage desilting before the rainy season.

SME & Market Support

Fair regulatory enforcement by LAWMA and municipal task forces to protect small shop owners along commercial avenues and Agboju market traders.

Youth Empowerment

Digital skill hubs, sports facilities, and sponsorship of youth development initiatives such as the Penalty King tournaments across FESTAC.

Community Security

Sustained support for local vigilante groups, patrol logistics, and estate safety initiatives in coordination with council leadership.

Always Here, Always Accessible

The desk is open — and it is public

Residents of Festac I–III and Mile 2 can report a blocked drain, a dead street light, a failed borehole or a market problem and watch it move through a published progress dashboard — received, under review, action scheduled, resolved. Constituents, youth groups and business owners can also book a seat at the open-door hours at 32 Road. This is the “Department of Community Engagement” promise, already running.

FALSE CLAIM — DEBUNKED

“The APC primary result did not reflect the will of the ward executives.”

The record shows the opposite, twice. In May 2022 Ola Western won the APC primary for Amuwo-Odofin Constituency I with 12 of 20 accredited delegate votes (60%), defeating the incumbent and three other contenders under a Primary Election Committee witnessed by INEC, Police, DSS and NSCDC observers. In May 2026 he won the party’s consensus primary again — this time on a mandate of over 3,000 votes across the wards — and was formally presented as flagbearer alongside the House of Representatives candidate. Both results were certified through the party’s own primary structures and covered by the press.

VERIFIED FACT

“Lawmakers are far removed from the people who elected them.”

Ola Western is different by geography: he lives, worships near, trades and runs Western Concrete inside FESTAC Town, and his campaign office at 32 Road by 3rd Avenue is the same door residents have knocked on for boreholes, drainage machines, hospital bills and food palliatives for years — before any ballot existed. That is the practical meaning of “Always here, always accessible”: the representative experiences the same roads, the same floods and the same streetlights as the constituency.
